Utilita Arena Newcastle will play host to the opening night of the 2026 BetMGM Premier League season, as the sport’s biggest stars go head-to-head in the North East next February.
The new Premier League season will begin in Newcastle on Thursday February 5, as sport's biggest party returns to 17 venues across the UK and Europe.
The 2026 Premier League will be staged on Thursday nights from February until May, as the top names in world darts compete for the coveted title and a record prize fund of £1.25m.
Luke Littler ran out a comprehensive winner in this year’s visit to Newcastle, defeating world number one Luke Humphries 6-1 in the evening’s decider.
Humphries went on to clinch his maiden Premier League title in May’s Play-Offs, defeating 2024 champion Littler in front of a record-breaking crowd at The O2 in London.
Humphries and Littler are also set to headline next year’s showpiece, with the eight-player field to be confirmed in early January following the completion of the World Darts Championship.
