Booking Tickets

Accessible tickets can be booked online with AXS our official ticketing partner.

Please visit our website and select the event you wish to see, then click Buy Tickets.

When you are on the events booking page, please select ‘Wheelchair Ticket’ or ‘Ambulant Accessible Tickets’ from the option listed.

Available tickets will be displayed on the interactive seating plan.

Click to select your seat. Also make sure to select a Free personal assistant ticket if required.

If you are unable to book online or your access requirements are not met by the online booking system, please call the AXS Access Team on 0203 481 5506 who will be able to assist.

All tickets are subject to a facility fee.

Free Tickets for Companions

Where a guest with accessible needs requires a companion to attend then the combined total cost for guest and companion will be equivalent to the full price of one ticket. This must be stated at time of booking before payment is made.

 Essential Companion tickets are not restricted to the accessible bays and can be allocated to any area within the arena. If you are unable to select what you require online, please call 0203 481 5506 for assistance.

Your order may be cancelled if no supporting document is provided.

AXS will contact you five (5) days within booking your tickets to request your proof to be submitted.

Box Office Opening Hours

The Box Office will be closed on non-event days 

 

On event days Box Office  will open 1 hour prior to main door opening and will remain open  until the headline event begins on stage.

Venue Accessibility Guide

The guide below is designed to assist patrons who have accessibility requirements, enjoy their visit to Utilita Arena Newcastle. We are happy to answer any queries or receive feedback so please do contact us.

Car Parking

Guest parking for those who have a Blue Badge is subject to availability on a first come first served basis. Pre-booking is not available. 

Access to the car park on event nights is via Dunn Street or Pottery Lane. 

The usual free to park your car for an event is from £8 (pricing is subject to change). 

Alternatively, when our Car Park is full, we recommend using the NCP Car Park located next to the Arena, with its entrance on Redheugh Bridge Road. 

If you have parked in our car park, please follow the building down which will lead you to the main entrance. Both paths on either side of the building are fully flat with ramp access over kerbs. 

To book parking use the Ringo app. Download the Ringo app and pay using the Location ID: 48850. 

Public Transport

Many local bus services, Tyne & Wear Metro and rail services stop at Central Station, which is only around 965 metres away from the Arena. Buses from Hexham, Stanley, Consett and many parts of Gateshead and Newcastle all stop at Central Station. Eldon Square and Haymarket Bus Stations are approx. 1 mile from Newcastle Arena.

Utilita Arena Newcastle Accessible Entrance

We have a dedicated Accessible Entrance located at the front of the venue. This entrance will be clearly signposted. Please speak to any member of staff if you have any questions. On entering the venue through our Accessible Entrance, you will receive a leaflet explaining our emergency procedures

The following provisions have been made in terms of entrance arrangements:

  • A lift to take you to the upper tier blocks 200-218, balcony blocks 300-301 and suites
  • Wheelchairs are available to borrow on entry for short distances to your seats (subject to availability)

Visual Impairment

Seats are reserved close to the stage/performance area for visually impaired customers. These are available to purchase online (subject to availability)

 

Assistance Dogs

Assitance dogs are welcome at Utilita Arena Newcastle, and we will look after them in a secure environment during the event if required.

A number of seats in the arena do incorporate extra space to the front of them, should you want your assistance dog with you in the arena.

Special Medical Needs or Pregnant

If you are pregnant or need specialist medical care, you are advised to get advice from your GP or consultant before attending an event.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are available at all levels of the Arena.

Concessions Stands (Bars and Merchandise)

Each bar and merchandise stand contain a lowered counter.

Facilities for Deaf people and people with Hearing Impairments

An induction loop is installed in Block 104. Please make sure to book this location if an induction loop is required.

We are also happy to arrange BSL interpreter if required. We do ask you get in touch as early as possible to these arrangements can be made. Please email the team Newcastle.Accessibility@eu.asmglobal.com

To ensure availability of a a BSL Interpreter, customers are requested to notify the venue direct at least 6 weeks prior to the event, or at the time of booking if the event is less than 6 weeks away, in order that we may endeavour to make appropriate arrangements.

Seating

We have dedicated accessible bays for wheelchair users and those who cannot negotiate stairs. These areas are accessed via a ramp and contain additional leg room.

All general tiered seat, Blocks 100-114 and 200-218 do require going up or down steps to access them.

The balcony level, Blocks 300-302 requires negotiation of very steep steps.
