DANCING ON ICE
Extra two dates added!
The greatest ice dancers of all time Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean captivated television audiences earlier this year, dancing together for the first time in nearly a decade, in the smash hit ITV show Dancing On Ice. The show is taking to the road and will be appearing at the Metro Radio Arena.
Already confirmed to take the magic of the TV programme on tour are heartthrob Duncan James, former Steps star Lisa Scott-Lee, rugby Legend Kyran Bracken and actress Clare Buckfield. Dancing On Ice Live, will be hosted by Andi Peters (a former contestant who has decided to take a slightly less hazardous role in the live format). He will be joined by amongst others, returning contestants Bonnie Langford who made it through to last year’s final and actor Stefan Booth. Aussie models Lara Bingle and Jake Wall will also take part following their success on the Australian version of Dancing On Ice last year.
The judging panel from the TV show will be rink-side to critique the performances each night. Olympic gold medal winner Robin Cousins will head the panel of ice judges, he is joined by Nicky Slater, Karen Barber and Jason ‘Mr Nasty’ Gardiner.
Judging will be a truly interactive experience and replicate the format of the TV show. Each night of the tour the competing celebrities will perform a series of routines with their dancing partners and the arena audiences will be able to vote for their favourite couple via their mobile phones. The audience votes will be added to the scores from the TV show panel of ice judges to decide the winner.
Once the votes have been counted, the two celebrities with the highest amount of votes will join their skating partners to perform a magical finale of Torvill & Dean’s Olympic Gold medal winning routine of Bolero.
Universal Pictures is releasing a DVD reliving Jayne and Chris’s most magical dancing routines on 20th November, entitled Torvill & Dean Golden Moments.
Tickets costing £40 & £32.50
