Dancing on Ice Champion Suzanne Shaw joins Torvill & Dean on UK Tour
After wowing audiences with stunning ice performances over the last two months, the ITV1 show Dancing on Ice embarks on a live UK Tour which starts on Friday 4th April in Sheffield. Skating legends Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean will lead a celebrity line up that includes Gareth Gates, Chris Fountain, Linda Lusardi, Suzanne Shaw, Zaraah Abrahams, Kyran Bracken, Clare Buckfield, David Seaman and Bonnie Langford.
All of the celebrities will be trained and choreographed by the former Olympic champions Torvill & Dean (who will perform several of their favourite routines at each show also). Each night the TV Judges will be rink-side to critique their performances. Olympic gold medal winner Robin Cousins will lead the panel, which includes Karen Barber, Jason Gardiner and Nicky Slater. There will also be a guest judge at every show.
Andi Peters will return as compere of the live show for the six-week UK tour that will travel to Arenas in Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester.
The stunning pro-skaters will also join their partners on the ice tour. From the current series, Fred Palascak and Frankie Poultney, will partner Zaraah Abrahams and Chris Fountain respectively. Series two pro-champion Melanie Lambert and runner-up Andrei Lipanov will partner Kyran Bracken and Clare Buckfield. Dan Whiston returns with his phenomenal stunts, while pro-skater Pavel Aubrecht makes his first Dancing on Ice appearance alongside Bonnie Langford. Kristina Lenko returns to partner David Seaman and Maria Filippov, Matt Evers and Susie Lipanova conclude the line-up.
At each performance the Arena audiences will have a chance to vote for their favourite skating celebrity. Replicating the format of the ITV1 show, they will be able to use their mobile phones to text vote for their favourite dancing couple. The audience votes will then be added to the scores from the Judges to decide the winner. Once the votes have been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner to perform a magical finale. All profits from text voting will go to charity.
*Please note that Suzanne Shaw will not perform on Friday 4th April due to a long-standing commitment and Chris Fountain will only perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to Hollyoaks filming commitments.
