MKTV Announce Live Trophy Final Coverage Sunday’s BBL Trophy Final between the Springfield Honda Newcastle Eagles and the Kularoos Plymouth Raiders will be screened live from the MetroRadio Arena on the newly launched MK-TV. The game tips off at 16:30 and fans that cannot make it to the North East can ensure that they do not miss any of the action by tuning in to Sky Channel 227. MK- TV launched on Monday and the game represents the first basketball to be shown on the flagship channel. Furthermore, the BBL and MK-TV will continue their forward-thinking partnership with UKTVSlam, as the showpiece event will also be streamed live on broadband via www.uktvslam.tv Highlights of the twentieth BBL Trophy Final, which sees the Eagles defending the trophy that they have won in each of the last two seasons and the Raiders contesting their maiden BBL final, will also be shown on UKTVSlam on UKTVG2 the following Sunday at 11.00am. The game is likely to produce one of the most exciting spectacles of the British basketball season as the likes of Fab Flournoy, TJ Walker, and Darius Defoe seek their third BBL Trophy winner’s medal; whilst rookie finalists such as Carlton Aaron, Drew Lasker, and Gavin Love look to take the first piece of BBL silverware back to the South-West. The Eagles have won two of the three encounters between the sides so far this season, including a timely 99-75 win last weekend in which TJ Walker scored 16 points. If you want to experience the showpiece event in person then tickets are still available through the MetroRadio Arena box office on 0870 707 8000 or by clicking on www.metroradioarena.co.uk and following the Ticketmaster link.
