STEREOPHONICS RETURN TO NEWCASTLE
Metro Radio Arena is delighted to announce the return of the Stereophonics for one night on Tuesday 13th September 2005.
Renowned for being one of the industry’s hardest working bands, they have officially been together, writing and performing music, since 1992. Famed for being the first ever signings to Richard Branson's music label ‘V2 Records’ in 1996, the three piece Welsh rock band have made a name for themselves in the music world, with their extremely melodic tunes and their laid back, relate-to-life lyrics.
Band members Stuart Cable, Kelly Jones and Richard Jones, together have hit the UK with outstanding single releases including 'Looks Like Chaplin', 'Word Gets Around', 'Local Boy In The Photograph', 'Just Looking', and 'Handbags and Glad Rags' to name but a few. Their new single ‘Dakota’ a happy-sad hook that grabs you and doesn’t let go, is from their new album ‘Language. Sex. Violence. Other?’ which is set for release on 28th March.
Metro Radio Arena Sales and Promotions Executive Nichola McKenna said:- "The announcement of the Stereophonics returning to the Metro Radio Arena is one which will please their strong base of North East fans. We look forward to yet another outstanding live performance".
Tickets costing £27.50 go on sale 9am Wednesday 9th March ’05 and are available from all usual outlets.
