Status Quo plus special guests 10cc
Thursday 19th December 2013
- Doors Open:
The Metro Radio Arena are proud to announce that Britain’s best-loved rockers Status Quo will be returning to our stage on Thursday 19th December 2013 as they undertake the 11 date “Bula Quo!” UK Winter tour in 2013.
“Bula Quo!” is the title of the band’s forthcoming debut feature film [and soundtrack album]. The film premieres in London on 1st July 2013 and goes on general release on 5th July, whilst the 2CD album is released on 10th June. The tour also features very special guests, the mighty 10CC, on all UK dates – two truly classic bands on one bill.
A Platinum-selling band, 10CC achieved massive success during the 70s with classic hits like ‘Rubber Bullets’, ‘I’m Not In Love’, ‘I’m Mandy, Fly Me’ and ‘Dreadlock Holiday’. The current line-up, helmed by Graham Gouldman and Paul Burgess, are constantly in demand the world over; these UK dates are going to be really special. Status Quo themselves need no introduction: more hit singles than any other band, more hit albums than The Beatles, more appearances on TOTP than any other act; the superlatives keep coming. The “Bula Quo!” set will feature, of course, a slew of massive hits from that amazing catalogue of classics, plus some new tracks from the forthcoming album.
Nichola McKenna, Marketing Manager for the Metro Radio Arena said “Status Quo always receive a warm welcome by their fans in the North East. You know when you attend one of their gigs you are going to have a great night.”
With two great bands offering a night of classic hits and more, the “Bula Quo!” tour is unmissable.
