Tom Jones announces Tour and becomes a ‘Sir’.
Today, Wednesday 29th March in London, Tom Jones picked up the ultimate accolade by becoming a Sir in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. To mark the occasion he also announces a major UK tour which will see him play venues throughout the UK later this year, appearing at the Metro Radio Arena on Monday 16th October 2006.
Sir Tom Jones - knighted for his years of entertaining the nation with his unique vocal power and charismatic persona, which has made him one of the most respected, admired and loved performers in modern popular music. Sir Tom is one of the enduring personalities in the music entertainment business, and in his native Wales, he is known as "Jones the Voice."
