He is one of the only artists in the history of the music business to have hit singles in six decades. In 1985 he participated in the historic recording of ‘We Are The World’ benefiting famine relief in Africa. Acting wise the Gambler franchise was so popular that it spawned five films and a five-episode mini-series, the longest-running mini-series in American TV history. He’s written four books of fiction and non-fiction, published three books of photography, and he’s chairman of the multi-leveled company Dreamcatcher Entertainment.
DON WILLIAMS is an award winning country singing star throughout the USA and Europe. He created 52 top 40 country hits with 17 recordings topping the charts. In 1980, Don was named Country Music Star of the Decade in England. His nickname was "The Gentle Giant" and he was the first country-artist in Europe with a video clip. His British hit singles include ‘I Recall A Gypsy Woman’ and ‘You’re My Best Friend’. During his career, Don has written songs that were recorded by Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Lefty Frizzell, Sonny James, Lobo, Charley Pride, Kenny Rogers and Pete Townsend. Acting wise Don co-starred with Burt Reynolds in W. W. & The Dixie Dance Kings, a major motion picture for 20th Century Fox and made a cameo appearance in Smokey & The Bandit II for Universal.
RITA COOLIDGE started her career as a backing vocalist for artists such as Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton and Leon Russell. She became known as ‘The Delta Lady’ and inspired Leon Russell to write a song of the same name for her. It was during this time that she met Kris Kristofferson and they married in 1973, though they have since parted. With him she recorded several duet albums which earned them a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a duo or group with vocal twice in 1974 for ‘From The Bottle To The Bottom’, and in 1976 for ‘Lover Please’. Her UK singles have included ‘We’re All Alone’, ‘(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher & Higher’, ‘Words’ and ‘All Time High’ (which was the theme tune for the Bond film ‘Octopussy’).
