LINKIN PARK have added a date at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on Friday 5th November 2010 to their previously announced tour, which will be their first here in almost three years. The show represents the fifth major arena date of this tour and follows previously announced dates in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
The tour follows the Monday 13th September release of the band's new album 'A Thousand Suns'. The first single to be taken from the album, 'The Catalyst', is out on Monday 6th September.
According to band DJ & visualist, Joe Hahn, "We are working to create a special experience for our fans where each of these live performances is designed to be a transformative multi-media experience, blending our songs and art and featuring never-before-seen visual technology."
In addition, this tour's set list, which will be packed with a plethora of the band's biggest hits, will be the first to showcase material from the new release.
Certified as the biggest selling rock / alt band of the decade by Billboard, Linkin Park have already surpassed 50 million sales and earned two Grammy Awards for Best Hard Rock Performance for the track 'Crawling' as well as Best Rap / Sung Collaboration with Jay-Z for 'Numb / Encore.'
A 50p charity donation from every ticket sold will go to Music For Relief.
Due to possible injuries that could occur from moshing / surfing we ask that you refrain such activities, failure to do this will result in ejection from the event.
The following items are not permitted within the venue:-
Long chains, Spike of any nature
Bottles or containers of any nature
No professional cameras, video or audio recorders
Any object that may be used as a projectile such as glowsticks, balls etc…
No large bags
No whistles, horns, vuvuzelas, laser pens / pointers
Searches are in operation, anyone refusing to be searched will not be allowed into the event.
