Light up a Life in support of St Oswald’s Hospice
Wednesday 11th December
- Doors Open:
Join St Oswald’s Hospice for an evening of celebration and remembrance.
People of all ages – not necessarily with a connection to the hospice – are invited to gather together to honour the lives of those we love but are no longer with us. This Christmas Celebration event are free to attend and everyone is welcome.
The event is hosted by Hospice Chaplain, Davina Radford, and includes a mix of songs, music, readings and reflection culminating in the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights. Each light will shine in memory of all of the people we have gathered to remember.
Children can get involved with an on-stage sing-along and you can pick up some festive gifts before the event starts with all proceeds from sales supporting St Oswald’s.
Whether or not you are able to attend a celebration event, you can choose to dedicate a light on the tree by making a donation in memory of someone special. You’ll receive a beautiful Christmas card bearing the name of your loved one and a star decoration which you can personalise with a message and hang on your tree at home or to bring along to the event if you wish. This year, you can choose instead to receive a pin badge instead of the card.
