Kylie Minogue steps out in style in Paris as part of her world tour. click for preview "Kylie Minogue changed Paris into a mardi gras as she kicked off her 2008 world tour at the Bercy Stadium last night. The princess of pop ditched her golden hot pants for a more modern look as she celebrated her 21st year of stardom. The singer...opened the show in a floor-length purple and gold gown that was more suitable for a red carpet premiere than an energetic stage show. Around 10,000 (actual count 14,066) screaming fans from as far away as Australia applauded as she rose onto the stage. And Kylie lapped it up as she performed a string of her old hits. She managed seven costume changes in her lengthy 28-song set - and even managed a few words of thanks in French.. She beamed as adoring fans constantly chanted her name." DAILY MIRROR- Wednesday 7th May 2008 - UK "Princess of Pop Kylie promised her campest tour - and with the power of X, did not disappoint. From the moment she flew on stage in a dangly gold ring attached to the roof, Kylie, in a purple and gold goddess frock, dazzled.. Dancers in leather gyrated saucily, sending the temperature soaring... A costume change .. saw Kylie aloft her dancers' heads doing the splits. If that wasn't amazing enough she dug out faves On A Night Like This and Kids. ...costumes for new single In My Arms was nu-rave excellence, while the Copacabana cover sent the campometer rocketing to outer space. X Factor? Kylie has more of it that Simon Cowell has high waisted trousers!" DAILY STAR- Wednesday 7th May 2008 - UK This world renowned superstar last performed in the North East in 2002, when she set a new record as the arena's quickest selling female solo artist of all time, which still stands today. As well as holding the record for largest seated capacity for any concert. We anticipate demand for this momentous concert to be phenomenal yet again! Already tipped to be the biggest concert of the summer 2008. Kylie Minogue is to tour Europe with a brand new show in 2008. Inspired by her new album "X", Kylie and her creative team have devised a new show that she describes herself as 'fresh, exhilarating and innovative". Kylie's 2008 tour opens in Paris on May 6 and progresses throughout Europe, reaching the UK in June, with the world's no1 female artist arriving at the Metro Radio Arena on Sunday 20th, Monday 21st July, Wednesday 23rd and now due to phenomenal demand we can confirm a record breaking fourth show as Thursday 24th July 2008. Kylie said today: "I am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself. The eclectic mix of sounds on 'X' is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative. After two celebratory tours, 'X' will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new. I can't wait to share it with you next year! See you soon!"
