IL DIVO CHART-TOPPING OPERATIC SUPERGROUP RETURN TO THE UK – MAY 2007 Fresh from the staggering global success of two number 1 albums and a sell-out world tour, Il Divo today announce that they are coming back to the UK, where it all began for them, for their eagerly anticipated second UK tour as part of their World Tour 2007. The operatic supergroup, whose third album, Siempre, hits the shelves on 27 November, will perform at major UK arenas in May 2007, including the Metro Radio Arena on Saturday 19th May 2007. This brand new tour production, including a stunning new stage set will feature favourites from their self-titled debut album Il Divo (such as ‘Regress A Mi’, ‘Nella Fantasia’, ‘A Mi Manere/My Way’) and second album Ancora (‘Unchained Melody’, ‘Heroe, ‘All By Myself’), as well as new tracks from Siempre, all performed live with an outstanding full orchestra and their band. The 2007 World Tour which starts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on January 16 for the group’s first visit to South East Asia & Japan; plans to includes stops across such vast cities as Tokyo, Sydney, Buenos Aries, Toronto, Capetown, Paris, Madrid with many more in between. UK audiences fell in love with Il Divo when they first launched here in 2004. Since then they have conquered audiences all over the world he hearts of fans and the charts of nations all around the world. In just two years these four men have hit the #1 spot an incredible 26 times achieved 26 #1 chart positions internationally and sold over 12 million albums, garnering over an impressive 104 Gold and Platinum awards. In the last 12 months alone, they have performed to packed stadiums/venues all over the world on their 86 date sell-out world tour, with their romantic, rich harmonies and heart-breaking ballads drawing standing ovations every night. This year’s tour culminated in the prestigious honour of joining music legend Barbra Streisand on a 20 date US tour which concludes tonight at LA’s Staples Center. For all four members it has been an incredible journey. With the release next week of their third album, Siempre (meaning ‘Always’), Il Divo are poised to take their meteoric success to another level. Siempre will feature 10 brand new tracks – many of them collaborations with Steve Mac & the Swedish team of Per & David. Executive Producer, Simon Cowell, believes that they have achieved a great mixture of classic and new songs, commenting: "There is no question in my mind that this will be is their finest record to date.” The album has already been tipped by Music week as “Unquestionably, another platinum seller” and highlights “the stirring rendition of Badfinger’s ‘Without You’”. David Miller said: “We’re incredibly proud of the news tracks, and the vocals we’ve come up with; w. We’re branching out a little, but it’s still the Il Divo sound.
