‘WARNING’ GREEN DAY
Metro Radio Arena is delighted to announce the return of Green Day On Tuesday 8th February 2005 after their sell out gig in 2002.
The tour is announced following the release of the bands seventh studio album ‘American Idiot’ which has been four years in the making.
Green Day emerged as part of the Californian punk scene in 1989 with their Debut album 39/Smooth, followed shortly by ‘Kerplunk’, ‘Dookie’, ‘Insomniac’, ‘Nimrod’ which won them Best Band Live at the Kerrang Awards and ‘Warning’.
With ‘Dookie’ being so successful, it came as no surprise when the band was nominated in no less than four Grammy categories. In 1995, it was confirmed that they had sold over 10 million albums worldwide, a stunning achievement for a band who have remained faithful to a basic punk pop framework.
Nichola McKenna, Sales and Promotions Executive said “Green Day are well known for creating a circus / carnival style atmosphere on stage, ensuring their fans will experience a fantastic show”
Executive Suites and Corporate Hospitality is still available for this show, please contact the Arena Marketing Department on (0191) 260 6023 for more information.
