Brainchild of former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, the awesome Foo Fighters have earned a worldwide following, with a score of hit songs, including ‘Times Like These’ and ‘Best of You’.
The Metro Radio Arena are thrilled to announce the phenomenal rockers will be playing on Monday 5th November 2007.
Two of their albums, ‘There Is Nothing Left to Lose’ and ‘One by One’, have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album, however in an interview Grohl noted that the band was eager to expand on their signature sound: "So the album that we're making sounds like a Foo Fighters album, but it's definitely moving in a few different directions. Its cool man, I love it. ".
The new album, titled Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, is set for release on September 25, 2007. The album's first single, "The Pretender", was issued to radio in early August.
Foo Fighters are renowned for their legendary festival appearances and not long after completing the recording sessions for the album, the band participated in Live Earth at Wembley, performing the penultimate set of the night, and headlined V Festival 2007, which included a surprise acoustic set on the Channel 4 stage. 2007 is set to be a very busy year for the band.
