As part of their first arena tour Pete Doherty and the rest of the Babyshambles will be appearing at the Metro Radio Arena Newcastle on Friday 23rd November 2007 to coincide with the autumn release of the band’s new album. The tour will also include dates in Manchester, Brighton, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Nottingham and Glasgow. The name Babyshambles, given to the band by Queens of Noize, comes from the famous 80's tipple Babycham. Babyshambles are Pete Doherty (singer/guitar), Adam Ficek (drums), Drew McConnell (bass) and Mick Whitnall (guitar). The band's debut album, Down In Albion, spawned two top ten hits with F**k Forever and Albion. In February 2006, Babyshambles were nominated for several NME awards with Doherty winning the "Sexiest Man" Award. With support from The View & Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong and Dizzee Rascal
