2013 saw a four date arena tour, 2014 grew to seven and now for 2015 we have gone large and thrown an eighth round in to the mix. Using the UK’s top venues the amazing Arenacross tour will continue to treat fans to that unforgettable show experience with bar banging Pro and Youth racing, and a world class line up of Freestyle MX Riders, to keep you on the edge of your seats. Arenacross will return to the Metro Radio Arena Newcastle on Sunday 1st February 2015 following an explosive debut earlier this year.

Arenacross takes the most spectacular elements of outdoor MX, boils them down into a concentrated cocktail and then shoehorns them into arenas onto purpose-built dirt tracks. Racing is short, sharp and shockingly spectacular with huge triple jumps, murderous mogul sections and fast, banked corners all designed to provide a high-octane sensory feast.

With Freestyle Motocross the show takes place 40 feet above the track with riders hitting purpose built ramps and then attempting to out-do each other as they whip and back-flip 100kg motorcycles in a death-defying display of aerial gymnastics. Once considered MX mavericks, freestylers are now highly-paid sporting stars who compete in year-round world tour events such as the X Games.

For 2015 promoter e22 Sports is building on the solid foundations laid in the last two years, and upping the stakes by visiting two amazing new venues and rolling out an eight-round series. Starting in Manchester ripping up London and Glasgow via stops in Belfast, Birmingham, Newcastle and finishing in Sheffield, the eight-round tour will blaze its way across the UK turning on a new mainstream audience to the joy of AX.

The 2014 Arenacross tour was an amazing success, selling out venues across the country and showing new and established fans the true potential of the sport. And if you took in a show last year, prepare to have your mind blown all over again in 2015 as e22 Sports take’s it to another level altogether.

Aussie McCoy set to return and challenge the championship again in 2015!

‘I’m super happy- and hopefully can come back and do another series!’
-That was Daniel McCoy at the closing round of the 2014 Arenacross Tour, and he has certainly stuck to his word as he will head back to the UK for 2015.
Last year, the Aussie rider was piped to the post as super speedy French-man Fabien Izoird took the championship.
However, having built on his experiences from last year, including placing second in the main events in both Liverpool and Birmingham, McCoy is feeling optimistic about Arenacross this year…
‘I’m so stoked to have the opportunity to be riding Arenacross again- To get in front of UK crowds every week is amazing, they completely bring the roof down every time’.
McCoy, who has previously placed second and third in Australian SX events, took third place at Wembley last year, and he remembers this being a particularly impressive show
‘London last year was definitely a case of saving the best until last; everything about it was top; the show, the track, the competition, I loved it’
The big question is which other pro will he be alongside and which team will they be riding for…keep your eyes peeled as the pro and team line-up will be announced over the coming weeks!
